Our ambition
Our ambition is zero harm to people and the environment. We believe that injuries, occupational illness and environmental incidents can be prevented through sound planning, strong leadership and continuous learning. This belief guides how we design our solutions, plan our work and execute our operations.
Safety Leadership and Learning
HSE are integral line-management responsibilities at Kongsberg Maritime, and we apply the principles of Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) to strengthen our safety culture. Leaders at all levels are responsible for identifying and managing risk, setting clear expectations and ensuring that HSE considerations are embedded in decision-making—particularly when priorities or trade-offs arise.
Everyone working for or on behalf of Kongsberg Maritime has both the right and the responsibility to work safely, protect others, and stop work or raise concerns if something appears unsafe or harmful to people or the environment.

Through planning, training and exercises, we work to limit harm to people, the environment and assets should an incident occur, and to restore normal operations as safely and quickly as possible.
