Supplier Development Engineer

Supplier Development Engineer

Are you passionate about high-end production quality and continuous improvement? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your skills make a real difference? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Supply Chain organization as a Supplier Development Engineer!

As a Supplier Development Engineer within our Propeller Systems business, you will play a key role in evaluating and supporting suppliers to meet our production and quality standards. You will work proactively to guide suppliers in fulfilling our technical requirements and specifications, acting as a trusted link between internal stakeholders and external partners.

A central part of your role involves visiting suppliers to perform pre-delivery inspections, manage deviations, and lead improvement initiatives. You will handle deviations using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, PFMEA, and Fishbone diagrams, and when necessary, participate in claims handling. Preventive work is essential, especially in Source and Method Change projects, where you ensure new suppliers deliver components that meet our quality expectations. You will also contribute to internal investigations to improve and streamline our processes.

What we can offer
We provide a safe and inspiring work environment with diverse and challenging tasks. You’ll have the opportunity for both personal and technical development while making a real impact. As a world-leading supplier of maritime solutions, you’ll work with unique products in an international setting, collaborating with colleagues and suppliers across the globe in multidisciplinary teams. We offer flexible working hours and the option to work partly remote, based on your tasks.

  • Experience from production or field service is considered an advantage
  • Background or familiarity with CNC machining and measurement methods is highly valued
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills are considered a plus

We place great importance on personal qualities. To succeed in this role, you need to be relationship-oriented, structured, and solution-focused, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
