Storesperson

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-focused individual to join our operations team in a varied Stores, Logistics and Dispatch role. You will support the preparation, packaging and dispatch of finished goods, ensuring shipments are completed safely, accurately and in line with customer, contract and compliance requirements. Ideally, you will bring previous experience within the shipping industry, or from a warehouse, factory, logistics or dispatch environment, along with a practical approach and strong attention to detail.

Note: Dayshift only (0700 - 1520 Mon - Thur, 0700 - 1240 Fri) - overtime on occasion as required.

What you will be doing

  • Preparation of shipping documentation
  • Support customs documentation and export activities, where applicable
  • Deliver finished goods safely, compliantly, and on schedule
  • Own packing and crating against customer and contract requirements, including booking contract support as required
  • Ensure goods are appropriately preserved for transport and storage (desiccants, VCI, sealing, shock protection)
  • Gather the weight, dimension, and lifting point verification for the shipping paperwork
  • Ensure correct labelling and identification of Goods
  • Act as the interface with Inspection/Projects for final release status
  • Support Projects with shipment planning and coordination with carriers/freight forwarders, as required
  • Support with the co-ordination of goods to storage and sub-con activities
  • Assist with Goods in, Receiving and Kitting activities
  • Support the Stores team lead and perform other duties, as required.

We think you should have

  • Experience in shipping and packaging of goods/materials
  • Forklift certified (desirable)
  • Certified for working with overhead gantry cranes (desirable)
  • Previous employment in a warehouse/factor or logistics/dispatch domain
