Principal Engineer, Network OT/IT

We are looking for a motivated Principal Engineer within Network who wants to contribute to shaping our future solutions. In this role, you will play a part in our dynamic Front-End and Project Delivery Team, contributing essential knowledge to our offshore solutions, including green technologies, to achieve sustainable growth for our business.

The Front End team within Offshore Production Systems (OPS) is responsible for delivering Front-End engineering solutions and, in some cases, to technically oversee the delivery and start-up. The team consists of technical experts who combine deep expertise with knowledge sharing across OPS.

As a Principal Engineer Network, you will apply in-depth technical knowledge to develop and improve offshore network solutions within OT and IT. Strong collaboration with peers and cross-functional teams is a key part of the role.

What you will be doing

• Be responsible for technical solutions within network for SAS/ICSS solutions
• Manage, develop and implement OT/IT architecture in accordance with industry standards and cybersecurity requirements
• Define system requirements for brownfields and greenfields
• Serve as a SAS/ICSS network advisor
• Responsible for technical expertise, providing solutions to studies, feeds, tenders and project deliveries
• Stay up to date with technological development
  
  

We think you should have

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Automation, Cybernetics, Robotics, IT, Electrical engineering or a related technical field. Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education
• A minimum of 7 to 8 years of experience within:

- Designing, testing and delivery of SAS/ICSS networks

- Establishing access policies for the OT and IT infrastructure and systems

- Relevant frameworks, to ensure the technical solutions are compliant with industry and customer standards

• Experience in industrial offshore automation is beneficial
• Prior experience with Kongsberg Maritime offshore automation and control systems is desirable
• Knowledge of NEK IEC 62443, NEK IEC 62439, NEK IEC 62541 and NEK IEC 61784 is desirable
