HSE Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen as HSE Advisor in our division P&H (Propulsion and Handling) in Kongsberg Maritime AS. You will be responsible for HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) at our Brattvåg location. In this role, you will deliver world class HSE functional support, continuously drive improvement and help the organization move towards a more sustainable maritime industry.

You will be part of the HSE team in handling delivering functional know-how and support to the business. As our HSE Advisor at Brattvåg, you are knowledgeable, curious and have a keen eye for improvements. You should be able to manage stakeholders, actively use your network, see the integrated picture, and communicate effectively.

The Brattvåg site houses Handling and Global Customer Support Business. 

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for day to day HSE work at locations
  • HSE support to locations management and support and advice the organization in HSE issues
  • HSE annual planning and follow up activities for the locations
  • Contribute to risk mitigation activities according to plans
  • Secure proactive HSE reporting, and help develop the HSE culture in P&H
  • Perform HSE audits and inspections, facilitate managements walks and plan
  • HSE risk assessments at location
  • Participate in “Arbeidsmiljøutvalget” at location
  • Act as contact point for local occupational health service

Both newly graduates and experienced candidates with the right background will be considered.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience in ISO standards (ISO 45001/ISO 14001) is an advantage
  • Experience on handling HSE risk and issues
  • Experience from HSE investigations and/or root cause analysis
  • HSE oriented, proactive, and risk-based mind-set
  • Preferable Certified Auditor (HSE)
  • Oral and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
