About the Role
You will join our IT Procurement function supporting Kongsberg Maritime IT’s global operations focusing on IT category to secure sourcing of IT services ensuring high quality, the best value, commitment to security standards, sustainability and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and independently running sourcing processes within IT category
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives
- Build and manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best terms and conditions
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Monitor and analyze procurement metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the procurement and sourcing process
- Manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships and effective communication
Qualifications
- Higher education (technical and/or financial education (Bachelor or Master))
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel internationally.
