Technology and IT
The Technology & IT function provides shared digital platforms, systems and technology capabilities across Kongsberg Maritime.
It supports innovation, cybersecurity and efficient operations, helping the divisions work smarter and scale consistently across the company. Technology & IT forms the backbone of Kongsberg Maritime's operations, products and solutions. The Division has four primary areas of responsibility.
- IT builds and runs a fit‑for‑purpose, future‑ready global maritime IT operation.
- Technology Platforms provides the control systems and digital backbone that enable all divisions to develop their products and solutions.
- Technology Office drives Technology Watch and Strategy, manages research partnerships and funding, oversees R&D and portfolio reviews and ensures product compliance, sustainability, innovation and IP/IPR.
- Technology & IT also leads the Digital Business Transformation Program, which focuses on developing and deploying IT systems, harmonising business processes and strengthening adoption and value creation across all divisions.
