Security and Crisis Management

Security at Kongsberg Maritime is managed through a structured, risk-based framework designed to protect people, information, products, systems and assets, while enabling safe, reliable and sustainable operations across our global business.

Security is an integral part of our way of working and of how we deliver trusted solutions to customers worldwide.

Our security framework covers information security, cyber security, product cyber security, personnel security, travel security and physical security.

It is aligned with recognized international standards, regulatory and Naval requirements and Kongsberg Maritime's Business Management System.

Information security is managed through a certified Information Security Management System in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022.

Cyber security and product cyber security are embedded in IT, Operational Technology and engineering processes to support resilience, secure-by-design solutions and lifecycle protection of systems, products and services. Personnel, travel and physical security are applied through risk-based measures, awareness and clearly defined responsibilities to safeguard employees, facilities and operations.

Crisis Management

Crisis management is a core element of Kongsberg Maritime’s security and resilience capabilities. We maintain a structured crisis management framework to prepare for, respond to and recover from serious incidents that may affect people, operations, assets or reputation. This includes defined crisis organization, escalation criteria, decision-making processes and communication arrangements, as well as coordination with external partners. Regular training, exercises and continuous improvement activities strengthen our operational resilience and readiness.

A strong security culture underpins our approach. Security awareness, role-based training and clear reporting channels support responsible behavior and continuous improvement across the organization.
