Solution Administrator

Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Solution Administrator for our DevOps Platform to join our organization.


You will be involved in tasks that are both important and relevant, as our expanding DevOps platform is highly prioritized within the organization.

As a Solution Administrator you blend DevOps culture with platform engineering, focusing on self-service workflows, scalability, and developer experience, both on-prem and in cloud. You will help build, maintain and operate infrastructure, shared tools, and "paved roads" that software developers use to ship code.  Additionally, communication in English and collaboration skills are imperative.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain and operate on-prem and cloud services for self-service developer platforms
  • Monitor cloud and on-prem services using automated surveillance tools
  • Oversee configuration management to ensure consistency across development, staging, and production environments. 
  • Orchestrate containerized applications for scalability and efficient workload management
  • Automate routine tasks such as monitoring, maintenance, provisioning and deployment
  • Collaborate with CloudOps and development teams to ensure efficient continuous integration and delivery

  • Automation & CI/CD: Azure DevOps, JFrog, GitHub, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, Docker, Git
  • Container orchestration tools: Kubernetes
  • Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS (GCP)
  • Observability: Grafana, Prometheus
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible

 Preferred competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • DevOps Migration on-prem to cloud
  • Network setup
  • On-prem servers administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experienced in collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Adaptability and a desire to continuously learn new tools and technologies English
  • English level: B2+/C1. Submitting an English CV+ motivation letter will be a mandatory requirement for this application.
