We believe that partnerships grounded in integrity and trust are essential to sustainable success.
Before entering contracts or collaborations, we carefully assess prospective partners’ integrity, compliance track record, and alignment with our ethical standards. This risk-based approach – including background checks and screening against international sanctions or watchlists – helps us identify and mitigate compliance risks that could arise from a business relationship.
Our standard agreements include clauses requiring compliance with our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct or equivalent principles and provide Kongsberg Maritime the right to terminate relationships if a partner fails to meet these expectations.
We actively communicate our Supplier Conduct Principles to all of our suppliers. These principles cover areas like human and labor rights, HSE, quality, precautionary approach towards environmental and climate challenges, anti-corruption and data protection – mirroring the commitments we hold ourselves to.
We also engage with our suppliers and distributors through training and audits where appropriate, helping them improve and ensuring ongoing adherence. By holding our business partners to high standards, we protect our customers and stakeholders and contribute to better industry practices.
