The image below is being supplied from our IP based PTZ camera system which has been installed on the navigation control tower at Aberdeen Harbour. At the hub of North-west Europe’s oil and gas industry, Aberdeen Harbour is a world-class port, primarily supporting supply vessel and rigs in the North Sea.
The IP system enables harbour personnel, in any office, to identify and monitor all shipping traffic at the harbour mouth 24 hours a day and in all weather conditions. Full remote monitoring and control is also possible with quality real time MPEG4 images being received over a typical 256Kbps ADSL link.
The Graphical User Interface (GUI) provides a proportional-speed virtual joystick enabling the operator to easily make fine adjustments of pan and tilt position and provides control of system functions such as zoom, focus, wash/wipe, IR lamp and digital recording, both video and stills all at the touch of a button. Live images can be viewed in two formats MPEG2 and MPEG4 both in 352x288pixels and 704x576pixels.
